Prayer Calendar: Keeping the Needs of AIA Before the Lord

This monthly prayer guide is designed to be used at any time and repeated each month as desired. Thank you for bringing the needs of Athletes in Action to the Lord each day.

Pray for…

Week One:

Day 1. AIA leadership, including president Mark Householder, the Board of Trustees and other area leaders

Day 2. Global sports teams as they travel, play and share Christ with others

Day 3. Leadership of AIA campus ministries as they win, build and send athletes

Day 4. God-inspired preparation for those who minister at the various world sporting events

Day 5. Collegiate athletes nationwide to come to faith in Christ and use their platform of influence to spread the gospel

Day 6. AIA’s pro sports ministers as they reach out to various teams in football, basketball, soccer, baseball and others

Day 7. AIA staff members to grow stronger spiritually, physically and emotionally so they can effectively minister

 

Week Two:

Day 8. Safety and effectiveness for AIA workers in countries currently closed to the gospel

Day 9. The Summer Olympic Games planned for London in August 2012 as AIA assembles a team of volunteers and chaplains

Day 10. For athletes to be raised for the global media projects including The Prize and Struggle and Triumph

Day 11. Open doors to establish work in the priority countries and others

Day 12. More partnerships between AIA global ministries and campuses

Day 13. God to raise up volunteers on campuses and in nations to help meet the needs of established AIA work.

Day 14. Student athletes to sense God’s call to participate in summer tours, using their sports to build bridges for the gospel

 

Week Three:

DAY 15. Believers on pro teams to maintain integrity for their teammates, fans and others

DAY 16. Global event organizers as they recruit staff and forge relationships at the various larger athletic competitions

DAY 17. God to raise up more Game Changers to expand AIA’s outreach

DAY 18. An increase in minority applicants for internships or AIA staff to more effectively reach the diverse world

DAY 19. The thousands who watch or play sports at the World Training and Resource Center in Xenia, Ohio, to hear the gospel and respond

DAY 20. Support staff like those in sports performance and human resources as they serve staff and visitors alike in unique ways

DAY 21. Changed lives of students who attend the Ultimate Training Camps; to discover God’s purpose for their lives

 

Week Four:

DAY 22. Inroads to minister at historically black colleges and universities (HBCU s)

DAY 23. AIA alumni to get involved through volunteering, contributing funds or recruiting new workers

DAY 24. Wisdom and discernment in expanding AIA in various aspects, relying always on God’s leading

DAY 25. National athletes worldwide who are believers to use their platform and partner with AIA in their countries

DAY 26. God to use the AIA Bible study resources like The Hurdle and others to connect with athletes involved in AIA and beyond

DAY 27. Spiritual multiplication in AIA to continue work, reach more people

DAY 28. Those who will attend the Super Bowl Breakfast, Legends of the Hardwood and the All-Star Breakfast to respond to the gospel
